As the HIV epidemic continues to be a major global health concern, particularly in countries like Thailand, it is essential to continue researching and developing effective treatment regimens for people living with HIV (PLHIV). Recently, there have been significant updates in the use of protease inhibitor (PI) based regimens for treating PLHIV in Thailand.
Many studies have shown that PI based regimens are highly effective in controlling the replication of the HIV virus and improving the overall health outcomes of PLHIV. In Thailand, healthcare providers are increasingly turning to PI based regimens as a first-line treatment option due to their proven efficacy and safety profile.
Additionally, newer generations of PI drugs have been developed that are more potent and have fewer side effects compared to older versions. These advancements in PI based regimens are offering hope to PLHIV in Thailand and around the world, as they continue to improve the quality of life and life expectancy for those living with HIV.
